Blogging now from Awana Porto Malai in Langkawi. Arrived yesterday and it had been great so far. No expectation and no to-be-accomplished list.
The drive along Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah was lovely. Strolling along the fine white beach was just so therapeutic. Something about the sea breeze and the wide spread of beach..and absolutely no access to work emails..thatz just what i really need to get out of my awful work routine. Believe it or not..all that coupled with a bottle Paulaner dark roast; suddenly my cold and stuffed nose seemed to have taken a break too
The view from our room is realy awesome albeit the poorly equipped/maintain room and facilities. Last night we settled for a cheaper ‘spa’ option at Kuah town. While I won’t grade it as one of the favored experience, let’s just say it’s worth the pennies paid. If I could bluntly describe it – it’s like having spa at someone’s home. But I must admit the body scrub was one of the best i’ve ever had. Though not ‘ginger’ as I was told, the scrub treatment was thorough and definitely not one that stinge on the salt. Well, it was a good way to wrap up the night in town. One burger each for late dinner back at Cenang before retiring back at the hotel.
Gonna check out from here later. Will opt for a cheaper option and closer to the beach. Hope it’s not a wrong choice.
BTW, I heard Paul Oktopus lived another day. Now it’s down to the champion spot between ‘Mani the Parrot’ and ‘Paul the Octopus’. We’ll see…
