Earth Hour 2010

Remember how you spent March 28, 2009 at 8.30PM?

Earth Hour is back to remind us of how small gestures such as switching the lights off for 1 mere hour can make a huge difference if we do it together! I didn’t exactly deliberately play my part last year, and I still have no idea what I’ll be doing this year.   But whatever it is, I hope my lights would be off from 8.30PM to 9.30PM.

There are some trumours going on about TNB sue-ing WWF for creating such a business-detrimental gimmick.  I’m guilty for spreadhing the trumours too!  Nevertheless, some good samaritan also helped to clarify that it is just a trumours! *phew*  For the longest moment, I thought "Oops, they did it again!"

Nevermind about the trumours! Whether or not TNB is going to lose money within that 1 hour or WWF folks are partying away while watching the globe goes dark at random hours across the world; I think we who live in this country (whom apparently ought to be very proud of our lights) are wise enough to understand how important it is to save on our ever rising utility bills.  Perhaps it’s a good practice to just reduce the electricity usage on daily basis and make it a habit.  It’s a huge amount of saving if you really do that math at the end of the day.  It is really not just about a 1 hour gesture y’know! πŸ™‚

Anyways!….. go enjoy the Earth Hour fun! πŸ™‚ To know more, visit the Earth Hour 2010 Global Site

  1. I spent the hour out on the deck, enjoying a glass of whisky while looking at the stars and meditating on the meaning of life πŸ˜€
